Default Suggestions for changes to SR

In the SR threads in Riverside Inn are just cesspits for flaming and mud slinging. Occasionally someone will pipe in "u necros need 2 use SoLS! stop whining!!".

Does anyone have an actual solution??

I've thought extensively about this and there doesn't seem to be a "right" solution. No energy from spirits is a no brainer but what else can be done? I considered just halfing the benefit but no one is gonna put 12 AP into SR for 6 energy per death. Some have suggested that Necromancers should enhanced energy regeneration for each death but that could end up being pretty much the same as how SR used to work.

SR wouldn't be a problem if it wasnt for the death rates in pvp and mm builds. the 1 eng per 2 ranks per death is still too much.

I've found that Curse builds generate energy quicker than MM builds though MM builds produce more of it in the end.

But there are degenerate builds in every profession. SR is actually one of the more poorly treated primaries. The energy benefit it gives is one of the only reasons to pick Necromancer as a primary. My Rt/N is on her way to being a better MM than my N/x. Spawning Power and skills like Boon of Creation, Spirit's Gift, and Explosive Growth are better than my current N/Mo MM build. I hope GW:EN brings us more and relevant SR skills.

As fine as I am with the current solution, I think pips of regen would be perfect.

Yeah, see, another reason why SR got nerfed is because you dont need to worry about energy management because you have an unlimited amount of it anyway without any skill what so ever. Shit dies, whether you r necro had anything to do with it or not.

Your Rt/N (or any other class for that matter) MM is different because you have to make an effort some how to regain energy. Without Boon of Creation your Rt/N would be useless in an instant.

And there are a LOT of reasons to be a Necro in both PvP and PvE besides its previous SR effects.
